Blight: Survival Guides

Playtest prep, how-to-play foundations, and risk-reward mission advice in one hub.

Guides Hub

This hub is the front door for every Blight: Survival how-to on the wiki. The game is still in development—no launch date, and official statements confirm it is not shipping in 2025 or 2026—so these guides focus on what players can learn from trailers, developer updates, and playtest announcements today.

Start here

If you are brand new, open the Getting Started guide first. It explains the fantasy: you are a Writhen striking into plague-scarred no man’s land, fighting both desperate humans and Blight-twisted monsters, then deciding whether to secure loot or push deeper.

Prep for real sessions

Closed and open playtests are the near-term way to actually play. Follow the Playtest guide for Discord, Behaviour’s Playtest Squad signup, and what to expect from early builds.

Mode-specific advice

Solo and co-op share the same campaign spine, but the tension changes. Use the Solo guide when you want full agency and harder clutch moments, or the Co-op guide when you plan to run with up to three teammates.

Mission mindset

Extraction-lite decisions—extract spoils versus risking everything to push forward—are the heart of each expedition. The Mission Survival page breaks down that loop without inventing unreleased systems.

How this hub stays useful

Every guide links into Combat, Builds, World, Review, Updates, and Tools so you can jump from a how-to into systems deep-dives. Bookmark this page when new footage drops; we expand walkthroughs as Behaviour and Haenir reveal more.

Related hubs worth rotating through: Combat Hub, Builds Hub, and Updates Hub.

Guide map for different player goals

If your goal is understanding the fantasy, stay inside Getting Started and the World hub until the setting clicks. If your goal is being useful on day one of a playtest, prioritize Combat System, Controls, and Mission Survival before exotic talent trees. If your goal is recruiting friends, send them the Co-op guide plus Platforms & Release so nobody expects a 2026 retail launch that will not happen.

How we keep guides honest

Every how-to is stamped against official wording whenever possible. When a detail is inferred from footage, we say so. When a system is TBA, we refuse to invent keybinds or damage numbers. That discipline is why this Guides hub stays useful after the next trailer reshuffles expectations.

Two-evening study path

Evening one: Getting Started, The Blight, Combat System, and the reveal trailer. Evening two: Posture & Finishers, Weapons, Mission Survival, and Playtest. You will not be a master—you will be oriented, which is the job of a pre-release Guides hub for Blight: Survival.
