Nightstalker is one of the few named enemies Behaviour and Haenir have discussed on the record while still unfinished visually. Treat this page as a preparation checklist, not a bestiary with locked stats.

What is confirmed

Steam updates show Nightstalker lurking in environment shots and note that playtesters already fear even the placeholder model. Concept artist Ana has explored multiple looks; final visual design was still in progress through late 2025. Principal Animator Richard shared a very early Nightstalker finisher clip—animations, enemy, and VFX all marked work-in-progress (December 2025 Recap).

Encounter fantasy

Internally the creature is framed as an encounter players should approach with caution—not a trash pack filler. Expect pressure that punishes greedy swings and tunnel vision. Pair reads with general monster advice on Enemies.

How to train before you meet it

1. Practice disengage discipline after every heavy swing (Combat System). 2) Assign a callout word in co-op so nobody double-commits (Co-op). 3) Prefer kits with reliable recovery if your group lacks a dedicated interrupter (Weapon Archetypes). 4) Never open with a finisher if adds can punish the animation (Posture & Finishers).

Placeholder ≠ shipping monster

Horror readability

Dark biomes and interiors hide silhouettes. If Nightstalker telegraphs are hard to parse, that is premium feedback—file it with video when NDA allows.

Lore placement

Community hype management

Memes will outrun facts. When friends claim secret Nightstalker loot tables, demand a Steam or Discord primary source.

Squad roles against elites

Caller names the target. Breaker applies posture pressure. Peeler keeps adds off the animation. Bag runner stays at the exit cone. If your group cannot assign those four verbs, you are not ready for a caution-first foe.

Clip hygiene under NDA

Early finisher GIFs are promotional. Do not assume damage values. If your wave allows recording, capture telegraph timing instead of highlight kills.
